Students design mood boards for app

April 4, 2018

Six students from Tokai University have submitted theirĀ  preliminary designs for the Cowra Voices app. They have created ‘mood boards’, a collage of colours, images, shapes, and design ideas that will determine the ‘mood’ or overall aesthetic of the app design.

Many of the mood boards featured the blues of the sky and the greens of the wide open spaces, which seems to be what impressed the students most about Cowra.

These design ideas will be incorporated into the Cowra Voices app by designer Chie Muraoka. A mock up of the app is in the works.

The students visited Cowra in late February to experience their first homestay in Australia and immerse themselves in the culture and unique history of Cowra. The visit was so successful, that Tokai University are considering another student field trip to Cowra in 2020.
